Description
These are great days to be involved in missions work and especially in Africa. The walls and barriers which have kept many African people groups from hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ are being overcome as the Holy Spirit of God is calling out churches and organizations to take up the challenge to go to the tough places and share the message of His love and forgiveness.
The issues raised in this booklet are those which have proven to be important areas for churches adopting people groups to address in their training prior to sending teams of volunteers out to the mission field. This booklet is not a “one stop” training manual, but rather is intended to help churches become aware of areas which they need to address in the training of their teams.
About the Author: For many years Cling Bowman has been associated with and working in Africa teaching, church planting, and training US and national churches to reach Africa.  Previous to this he worked with a volunteer team helping to begin Hispanic churches in Georgia and an Anglo church in the Fort Worth, Texas area. He currently serves with his wife with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.  He is married to Harriet Bowman and has 3 children and 6 grand children.
